Review: 95. Ethan by Grace Burrowes…

Grace Burrowes’ Lonely Lords series continues with Ethan’s story…

ethandrey’s thoughts:

Ethan Grey is the bastard son of an Earl, who was brought into the Earl’s family and raised with his half-brothers, only to be banished for actions misconstrued by others. He’s just been reconciled with them, only to have his father die and his half-siblings tip-toeing around. Then again, it’s not like he’s the most personable and charismatic person…

Which he’s told, frequently, by his sons’ new governess. Alice has no compunctions with telling her new employer whatever she sees fit to, however she sees fit to – though usually it’s done rather diplomatically… I liked Alice. She’s strong, but quiet instead of sassy and snarky. She has baggage, of course, but that’s par for the course, and in this case is balanced by Ethan’s luggage train…

I enjoy Grace Burrowes’ writing – her stories are romantic, her heroes and heroines definitely deserve to find happiness, and there’s always a cast of supporting characters who’ll show up in each book. This one’s for a slow, lazy afternoon.
