Kelley Armstrong’s second Cainsville novel Visions comes out on the 19th, and I’ve been lucky enough to receive a copy for review!
Olivia Taylor-Jones has had a heck of a time since finding out she’s the daughter of serial killers, and even finding her parents innocent of killing the last victims doesn’t make it easier to handle. So she’s still hiding out in Cainsville and working in the local diner.
Then Liv starts having visions: omens and portents, corpses in her vehicle, heads in her bed… What’s going on??
Kelley Armstrong’s follow up to the paranormal thriller Omens is full of revelations; some are surprises and others confirmation at what was previously hinted at. The story itself never loses your interest, and the romance provides a nice contrast to the creep factor. (At least Liv gets to have some fun!)
I am really enjoying Armstrong’s Cainsville series so far – the characters are interesting, and the story is engrossing and well-written. Armstrong fans know what I’m talking about; those of you new to Cainsville should start with Omens if you enjoy a solid drama with good character building, descriptive setting, whodunnit mystery, and a romance to round it out.
drey’s rating: Excellent!
